Title Block Stamp

  1. Edit the Title Block family.
  2. File --> New --> Family --> Annotations --> Generic Annotation.rft
  3. Insert --> Image -->  Choose your stamp  (this can be changed later if necessary)
  4. Resize the image so that the stamp is 1 1/2"ø
  5. File --> Save as --> Family --> Give the file a location and name appropriate to the project or date, as you do not want to use the same stamp for multiple projects.  (This can actually be a temporary file as the stamp will be stored in the title block).
  6. Load into Project -->  Choose the title block, which should already be open.
  7. Place the Stamp on the Title Block.
At this point, you will choose if you want the stamp visible on every sheet all the time, or whether you want to control the stamp visibility on each sheet individually.  If you want the stamp visible all the time, simply place the stamp annotation on the title block, and Load the title block back into the project.

If you want to be able to turn the stamp on and off within the project for each sheet:

  1. In the Title Block, create a new parameter:
  2. Select the stamp.  In the properties dialogue for the stamp (annotation), to the right of the Graphics / Visible item will be a small button labeled "Associate Family Parameter".  Hit this button and a new dialogue box will appear:
  3. Here is where you will select the parameter you created in step one.
  4. Load the Title Block back into your project, and each title block will now have a radio button to control stamp visibility.
