I am trying to edit a floor (or roof, or slab, or wall, all similar enough) and the "sketch lines" disappear when I select the floor and then choose Edit Boundary.
Make sure you are not actually trying to edit a shaft or opening. Those are separate from the hosting member.
Make sure Lines are visible in your view. Sketch lines (used to?) be a subcategory of Lines.
