- I created a new "Drafting View", and imported a structural drawing detail to that view. That detail can be placed on a sheet where it will be numbered, but I don't know how to link that number to a callout on the plans.

Create the callout and select , from the option bar, reference other view.
from the list, pick your drafting view.
