Arial ttf and Verdana

If you are reading this as I intended, you should see an Arial ttf font with very little difference between the characters 689.

To prevent future problems with those characters, especially with the common usage of half-scale drawings, we will transition Revit 2011 font use to Verdana. Note the characters 689 in that font.

Verdana has a very similar spacing to Arial, so there should be little cleanup involved when importing older drafting views. It is included stock in all Windows installations, so all clients will already have access to it. Verdana also has that elusive serifed upper case I.
