Keyboard Shortcuts

Very important Revit Structure keyboard shortcuts that will speed up production:
  • EH - Hide Element (select entities first)
  • ZE - Zoom Extents
  • B*spacebar* - Draw Beam
  • WA - Draw Structural Wall
  • TG - Tag (category)
  • VG - Visibility Graphics
  • MA - Match Properties
  • SC - Snap to Center
  • SM - Snap to Midpoint
  • CP - Coping
  • VP - View Properties
Another very useful one that isn't necessarily a shortcut, just a windows trick:
  • G - Go to View (right click on a callout or section cut first so that the pop up menu appears)
And useful shortcuts that aren't necessarily easy enough to be useful:
  • PR - Edit Properties (select element first)
  • ALT+Enter - Properties (select element first)
*** Edit *** I'm adding "EE" menu:"Edit-Properties" to my shortcuts just before PR to make it a more typable shortcut. *** Edit Edit *** It appears not to work, and it breaks all the other shortcuts. I'll have to investigate more later.

You can create you own keyboard shortcuts by editing the text file:

C:\Program Files\Revit Structure 2009\Program\KeyboardShortcuts.txt

KeyboardShortcuts.log will show any errors made by improper coding.
